Position Overview
• Support Head of EMEA Interior Design in the management of new store openings and renovations in EMEA
• Create and maintain budgets for each project
• Source and select decorative items (incl. but not limited to; furniture, drapery, wallcovering rugs, artwork, propping, etc.)
• Track decorative items from point of purchase through delivery
• Partner with architects/store design/merchants/visual presentation on space design and installations
• Archive decorative materials and maintain project records/specs
• Negotiate costs with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost effectiveness
• Manage Associate of Interior Design, EMEA, in daily responsibilities & tasks
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
5+ years experience in interior design and/or store development, preferably in retail industry or high-end residential
• Highly organized and proactive individual, capable of multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and collaboration
• Able to read and understand architectural/construction drawings and sketch/diagram space plans and fixture layouts
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• AutoCAD and/or SketchUp proficiency a plus
• Ability to source and select decorative items
• Budget and project management skills
• Frequent travel within EMEA for store visits, sourcing trips, and installs
• Flexibility in working hours around installations and meetings with NY team
