Job Details
This role is responsible for assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes. This will include the analysis of the consolidated Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, along with reporting to group. This will also involve supporting the international markets throughout the closes. This position will participate in process improvement projects and will complete other non-routine assignments at the direction of department management.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes including:
o Review of all entities Balance Sheet fluctuation analyses by account for completeness and validity.
o Prepare a monthly Balance Sheet pack for senior management reporting. This includes drafting commentary and analyzing the period over period changes in the following accounts: Intangible Assets, Fixed Assets, Leases, AR, Cash, and Debt.
o Ensure the completeness of cash flow statement non-cash addbacks by carefully analyzing transactions, such as depreciation, amortization, bad debt and other adjustments.
• Recording monthly journal entries related to consolidation type activities including changes in investments and other intercompany transactions.
• Support the international finance teams ensuring close deadlines are met. This includes monitoring international close performance across all markets using report card metrics and Blackline task submissions.
• Participate in process improvement projects (departmental, divisional, and company-wide), such as streamlining the Chart of Accounts (COA rationalization).
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 0-1 years of public or 1-2 years of private accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Strong time management skills
• Team player with shown ability to collaborate efficiently.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours during monthly financial close, as well as for special assignments when requested
Preferred:
CPA candidate or hold CPA
