Accountant - South East Asia markets
Overview

A great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to take on a new role in the Hong Kong Shared Services Center. Reporting to the Accounting and Reporting Manager, the role will be responsible for the Accounting & Reporting for South East Asia markets.

The successful candidate will be a person who can work across culturally, show attention to detail, lead change, have a can-do attitude, be team player and a problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting service provider to ensure month end closing and reporting are performed on a timely manner
• Ensure all transactions processed are valid activities with sufficient documentation and procedural compliance
• Maintain books and records in compliance with company policies and local accounting standards
• Understand and monitor compliance with internal control procedures and policies. Identify and escalate exceptions from policies
• Investigate and correct discrepancies in partnership with Corporate and other functions
• Preparation of corporate reporting requests
• Participation in Statutory Audits
• Liaising with third-party tax advisors
• Other Ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Accountancy or related discipline
• Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
• Over 5 years of working experience including audit and retail/FMCG industry background preferred
• MNC working experience is preferred
• Experience in supporting multiple countries in South East Asia region
• Good interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated and analytical mind
• Fluent in English ; good verbal and written communication skill
