Job Details
AMIRI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Assistant to support our Merchandising Manager in driving our business through strategic merchandise planning, actionable reporting, and insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting detailed weekly analysis and reporting, leading to actionable insights that drive business performance in alignment with sell-through and revenue goals.
- Support in the process of creating seasonal collection assortments that meet category targets and achieve financial goals.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Wholesale, Collection Merchandising, E-commerce, Planning, & Allocation) to achieve team objectives.
- Assist in identifying key risks and opportunities, taking clear actions to enhance performance in key metrics such as sales, margin, and inventory turn.’
- Create and update presentations and decks for investment reviews, buy books, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Enter and update data in systems and internal documents as needed to maintain detailed and accurate information.
- Become an expert in Amiri brand language and history while staying up to date on industry trends and key competitors in the market; developing a strong point of view on Amiri’s place in the luxury world and opportunities for the growth of the brand.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in merchandising or planning.
- Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, reporting, and analysis with a focus on ad-hoc reporting and real-time data analysis.
- Experience in Netsuite a plus.
- Basic understanding of retail planning and inventory management needs.
- Ability to balance a sense for design and artistry with a grasp on business trends and needs.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated, driven, quick learner, and problem solver.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player.
