What is the Role of a Cashier?

You must be knowledgeable of the store layout, inventory and company policies in order to provide accurate information to customers. You will be responsible in handling transactions, scanning products, itemizing and totaling customer purchases, processing returns, recording prices and taxable/non-taxable items, referring price sheets and sale bulletins, balancing cash drawer by counting cash amount before and after work shift, maintaining checkout operations, describing the use and information of products, and process order packaging.You are the company treasurer and must uphold company values both in the way you express yourself physically and verbally. You will maintain a focus on customer satisfaction with a foundational knowledge of the business and the necessary skill set to assure seamless audit procedures all year round.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Native or professional French speaker
• Native or professional English speaker
• Professional appearance and behaviour
• Professional mathematics management
• Proven experience in sales, record keeping, and CRM management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent Organizational and time skills
